Zoomlion Launches Its First Corporate Satellite — Marking a New Era in Smart Machinery Service

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully launched its first corporate-named satellite, “Zoomlion.” The launch took place on August 11, 2025, at 00:31 Beijing time from the Shandong coast, using the Jielong-3 rocket as part of the Geely Constellation Group 04 mission. This marks a historic first in the global construction equipment industry — a manufacturer launching a satellite under its own name to support intelligent and connected operations.

The satellite launch is a key part of Zoomlion’s “Digital, Intelligent, Green & Global” strategy. It provides the foundation for satellite-based monitoring, IoT connectivity, and AI-driven analytics for heavy machinery across all environments — from urban projects to offshore platforms and desert operations. Its core functions include enabling real-time communication and monitoring of equipment in remote areas, integrating satellite, IoT, and AI technologies for predictive maintenance, and strengthening the Zoomlion Cloud IoT ecosystem with global data coverage and advanced diagnostic capabilities.

The new satellite represents a technological leap. It enables AI-based performance analysis, predictive maintenance, and automated diagnostics, as well as big data integration for lifecycle management. With this development, Zoomlion is evolving from a traditional machinery manufacturer into a full-scale technology provider, offering digital service and data solutions alongside equipment.

Zoomlion currently holds over 17,800 patent applications, operates eight national R&D platforms, and has contributed to more than 570 industry standards. The company runs 23 intelligent factories and over 30 logistics hubs worldwide, supplying machinery to more than 200 countries and regions.

For customers in Ukraine and other international markets, the satellite means enhanced service reliability and connectivity. Machinery can now receive software updates and diagnostics remotely, even in low-connectivity regions. IoT integration improves transparency and operational efficiency, while AI monitoring systems help reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

The satellite launch is not only a technological achievement but also a strategic milestone for Zoomlion. It reflects the company’s transformation into a global digital ecosystem where construction equipment, intelligent service, and data analytics merge into one connected network.
